Halloween

Halloween, celebrated each year on October 31, is a mix of ancient Celtic practices, Catholic  and Roman religious rituals and European folk traditions that blended together over time to create the holiday we know today. Straddling the line between fall and winter, plenty and paucity and life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition. Halloween has long been thought of as a day when the dead can return to the earth, and ancient Celts would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off these roaming ghosts. The Celtic holiday of Samhain, the Catholic Hallowmas period of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day and the Roman festival of Feralia all influenced the modern holiday of Halloween. In the 19th century, Halloween began to lose its religious connotation, becoming a more secular community-based children's holiday. Although the superstitions and beliefs surrounding Halloween may have evolved over the years, as the days grow shorter and the nights get colder, people can still look forward to parades, costumes and sweet treats to usher in the winter season.(this information from the internet)

When i am in china ,i can not feel the strong taditional Halloween, also in china we have the same date like that. Some of my friends go to pub to celebrated, from the picture i feel UK people very attention about this special date. Acoording to the information from the internet i know that in the 19th century, Halloween began to lose its religious connotation, becoming a more secular community-based children's holiday. It can help people face on the cold winter, actually it built a strong power in people `s heart which during the Halloween.
On that day i found many people make up made thenselves terriblely, i think it was use for made the ghost far from human.

the advantages of uk joy EU

First and formost, it can increase the possibility of specialized production. The EU provides a market including 3.4 billion population which is greater than the American market. Thus, it can achieve a big economic scale, especially high requirement of the initial research costs in complex products, such as computer, drugs, nuclear reactorand modern weapons. This kind of economy makes EU enterprises more effective with competition in the international business trade. In addition, the high-level efficiency is based on the intensive competition. There is no protection to invalid company in European Union. The free trade means goods and services competing in any part of the market, and production factors that can move to a more effective local utilization   not only in one country, but between countries. The result is that, 57% of British exports into the European Union and its imports from the European Union by value calculation. On the other hand, protective tax which can reduce external market competition is admitted.
